The treatment room at Refine Skin Clinic
GENERAL
Frequently asked questions
Not always. Some treatments start with a one-to-one consultation (injectables, for example), while for other services you can book straight in for treatment. Whichever you choose, Isabelle will review your medical history and talk through your goals before any treatment begins.
Isabelle is a Registered Nurse (RN) with additional aesthetics training at Harley Street Academy in London — one of the UK’s most respected medical aesthetics training providers.
Up-to-date prices for every treatment are shown when you book online. If anything about your plan changes at your appointment, Isabelle will always confirm costs before going ahead — no surprises.
The easiest way is to book online, where you can choose between our Tenby and Freshwater East clinics and pick a time that suits you. You can also get in touch via the Contact page, message us on Instagram, or email isabelle@refineskinclinic.co.uk.
As a solo-run clinic, cancelled slots are hard to fill at short notice. We ask for as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule — full details will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Yes — there is parking available close to the clinic. Full directions and parking details are sent with your booking confirmation.

TREATMENTS
About the treatments

Most clients find our treatments very tolerable. Topical numbing cream is used for injectable treatments such as dermal fillers, polynucleotides and skin boosters, and Isabelle will always check in with you throughout the appointment.

Downtime varies. Anti-wrinkle injections typically have minimal social downtime; treatments like PRP, polynucleotides and microneedling can cause short-term redness, swelling or pinpoint bruising for a few days. We’ll always go through what to expect before you book.

Longevity depends on the treatment, the product used and how your body responds. As a rough guide: anti-wrinkle injections typically last 3–4 months; dermal fillers 6–18 months; polynucleotides and skin boosters are usually done as a short course and then topped up every few months.

No. The vast majority of aesthetic treatments are not offered during pregnancy or breastfeeding for safety reasons. We’ll happily welcome you back once you’re ready.

Yes. Refine Skin Clinic treats adults aged 18 and over only. For some treatments (such as anti-wrinkle injections), a higher minimum age may apply and Isabelle will use clinical judgement at consultation.

For injectable treatments we generally advise avoiding alcohol and blood-thinning supplements (such as fish oil, vitamin E and high-dose ibuprofen) for 24–48 hours before your appointment. You’ll receive specific instructions when you book.

AFTERCARE
Aftercare & results
You’ll receive clear written aftercare instructions tailored to your specific treatment, along with Isabelle’s contact details so you can reach out if you have any concerns.
Some treatments (such as dermal fillers) show immediate results, while regenerative treatments like PRP, polynucleotides and microneedling work gradually over several weeks as collagen remodels.
Many skin treatments work best as a short course (typically 2–3 sessions spaced a few weeks apart) followed by occasional maintenance. We’ll discuss the recommended plan at your consultation.
Yes. For most injectable treatments Isabelle offers a follow-up check-in around 2 weeks after treatment to review results and answer any questions.
Get in touch with Isabelle as soon as possible — contact details are on your aftercare sheet. Minor side-effects such as redness, swelling or pinpoint bruising are normal; anything beyond that will be reviewed and managed promptly.
As a general rule, we advise against applying make-up for at least 24 hours after injectable treatments to reduce the risk of infection. Specific guidance will be included in your written aftercare.
